I enjoyed reading your essay. I've learned a lot from you regarding African names and why some Africans have Christian names. My name is Mohamed. This name, as you may imagine, conjures up all sort of stereotypes these days. I would never change it because, as you make it clear-and I agree with you- our names are our very identity.
